Buying a 2000 mercedes c280 sports sedan for my son. Questions!?
Posted by admin | Under Mercedes Sports Sunday Feb 28, 2010The milage of this car is 100,000 but it is all highway miles and it has been regularry serviced and everything.
Is this too many miles for a first car, and the price is 7,000. Is this a good fit for my sons first car? HELP!
Personally I think you are setting the bar fairly high to be giving your son a Mercedes Benz for his first car.
Money isn’t the issue, but I think something more practical like a Camry or an Accord will keep his expectations reasonable. If you start him out with an MB where does he go from their? How do you trade up and what does he move into when it comes time to get him his "move up" car.

that seems pretty good. Im 22 my first car was a c-class. Just make sure its inspected before buying. Thats seems like a good price.

Ok to the guy below me… Who the honkies wants a Honda over a Merc? Anyways, I think this is a nice car. It will last a while, its fuel efficient, and fun to drive! It also gets good safety ratings.

As long as it has been maintained on a regular basis, it should still have lots of life left in it at 100K miles.
The W202 ( ‘94-’00 ) C-Class is a solid design. The M112 V6 engine is also robust and reliable. Just make sure to adhere to the maintenance schedule and it should be a reliable car for a few more years.
