No way dude If I was stupid enough to fork over 100 grand for a car — it would be a 7 series Bimmer .Big money for future rust is a crap investment — buy a little /mazda more fun less depreciation spend the rest on your mistress — or feed the poor then you may get a reprieve from / for a while.

Too much money and Mercedes have lost the integrity on the SL series. The R129 model was the best ever especially the 1999-2001 models.
Teh New SL as this chap says has cheap , flimsey controls and you will regret paying approx $100000 for the car…if you really want one buy a 2nd hand after 3 years! having done approx 40K .,…or better still go search hard for the SL R129 series with the V8 engines the 500SL with a complete panoramic roof and soft top!
